Edward gained experience across industries both in managerial and consulting roles at Altuïtion, Boston Consulting Group and Sara Lee/Douwe Egberts. He worked with clients in financial services, fast moving consumer goods and industry. As business development manager at Douwe Egberts he transformed coffee drinking at work into a pleasant experience.
Working closely with clients, he designs and delivers growth opportunities based on deep consumer insights along the customer journey. He thrives in the world of constant change and builds bridges in organizations by thinking differently and being a driving force of change.
Edward holds a Ph.D. in Innovation Management from University of Maastricht, a master’s degree in economics from University of Maastricht and Business Administration from Universidad de Zaragoza, Spain. Edward is the author of 5 management books on strategy and organization of innovation and new business development, including the second edition of The Knowledge Enterprise (2015).
Edward is associate professor at the Amsterdam Business School | University of Amsterdam. With enthusiasm he teaches marketing to the next generation of managers.
Edward is living in the ‘burgundy’ part of The Netherlands with his wife and three children and takes a pleasure in cooking and designing culinary dishes. Enjoying pro race cycling, he is fond of cycling on the French Alps.
