This EU health insurer partnered with Benthurst to inform a groundbreaking digital health platform that leveraged the best practices from leading B2C and CDC-recognized platforms.

The Challenge

This health insurer sought to revolutionize healthcare in Belgium by creating a digital platform that could provide a personalized, holistic, and culturally inclusive health journey. The challenge was to identify a diverse set viable of business models for member-fueled health & wellness platforms and integrate consumer insights from leading global platforms to create an experience that resonated with diverse user needs, from scientific transparency to community engagement.

What did Benthurst do?

Benthurst conducted an audit of leading international and globally recognized digital health platforms, identifying key factors such as personalization, engagement, and longevity. The team then developed a strategy that blended these insights with the health insurer's unique brand values. The approach included implementing top-notch UI/UX, introducing gamified elements, community connection and ensuring multi-channel touchpoints for seamless user experiences. A robust digital ecosystem was proposed, which included features like scientific transparency, real-time feedback, and community connection.

The Solution

The project resulted in cutting-edge platform elements that are set to lead the market in digital health innovation, delivering measurable improvements in user engagement, satisfaction, and health outcomes. It received overwhelmingly positive feedback from client stakeholders and will achieve significant milestones in user engagement trends, projecting a noticeable increase in daily active users and sustained long-term participation. The project is in progress and will position this insurer as a leader in digital health innovation in the EU, with the potential to expand into other markets.
